Hunger in our community is a growing problem. The statistics are alarming … 1 out of 7 elderly people wonder where their next meal will come from; 1 in 5 families in Arizona may not have food to feed their family, and 1 out of 4 children rely on school meals to eat each day. Future Stars Global Foundation strongly feels the need to help feed the hungry – our volunteers donated their time, dollars and food items to help the cause. We also assisted by volunteering our time to serve over 13 thousand meals in one day for children, seniors and families.

FSGF handed out over $1000, in gift cards to random Wal-Mart shoppers during our “Pay It Forward” Campaign. Giving is a gift and an act of kindness that can last a life time. FSGF teaches the values and beliefs of good citizenship, caring for others and being leaders in the community. In December, Future Stars Global Foundation took a group of its student athletes to a local Wal-Mart and surprised random shoppers by handing our gift cards, with the thought if you can use the gift card use it and if you know someone else who really could use it then “Pay It Forward” and keep the gift of kindness going. Our student athletes learn many lessons, and as they learned at WalMart, the gift isn’t always the one you receive but the gift you give from the heart. FSGF continues to teach and instill these values in all of the children that are part of our the programs and in the community.
The “Pay It Forward” campaign helped several people, who greeted out surprise with smiles or tears in their eyes. It was truly a humbling and spectacular movement, which we plan to continue as often as we can.
